Inlay Signage
Inlay Acrylic or Perspex Signs are either Illuminated or non-illuminated, depending on the application or the budget.
An inlay is typically laser cut Acrylic, that generally has a vinyl overlay, which is either transparent vinyl or solid vinyl, that is embedded or “pushed through” a backing board.
The type of backing board, ie ACM, Aluminum , Perspex, Acrylic, Plexi, is dependent on the depth required, and whether one requires Led illumination.
Inlay Fabricated signs are also used when the signage lettering is too small for LED’s to fit in.
The secret to quality Inlay signage lies in several factors:
A:The thickness of the material used, ie Plexi-Glass, Perspex.
B:The quality of the Vinyl used, the various Vinyl’s used for Inlays have Lifespans ranging from 6 months , to 10 years
C:The ACM used, yes there are various signage grades available
D:The quality of the company and the environment it’s manufactured in
There are several cheaper imitations in the market, unfortunately on first glance they are an exact replica, they generally crack or fade after about 6 months.
Unusually lower pricing is generally the first clue as to the product you are receiving. Also if the company you’re dealing with doesn’t have a decent premises’ that it operates off, one should be concerned about how the guarantee will be executed.
